Here Comes The Planet 01 – Melbourne to Koh Phangan

Hey all, here’s the first vlog (video blog) for Here Comes The Planet! We’re filming little bits and pieces and cutting short episodes as we go. They will almost always lag behind the blog entries as they take more time to produce and our internet access is sporadic. At the moment it’s just us talking to camera and taking some footage of the scenery. Not sure what else we’ll end up doing with them, but I’m open to feedback and suggestions. πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoy!

  1. Heh. Won’t take long before you’re tossing boarding passes. Paper is surprisingly heavy, and if you start hanging on to maps of towns and museums, keeping pamphlets and ticket stubs, it adds up quick.

    • Could well be the case! I’ve already got a load of transfer tickets people stuck on my bags which I need to throw out. We do plan on sending a package home from Vietnam or Bangkok though, which might be a good opportunity to rid us of those kinds of keepsake items. πŸ™‚

  2. Hah ace! Great music, is that from idiot abroad or just similar? Especially loved intro outro! Can’t wait to see the non water proof dinner jacket of tickets πŸ˜‰ great stuff for ur first one! Looking fwd to watching them develop πŸ˜€

  3. I had thoughts of visiting Thailand before, but that beach… thanks for putting more thoughts in my head!
I look forward to following your trek all across the globe. πŸ™‚
    (This is Haplo btw)

  4. far out the view from the resort is unreal… I’v never had much interest in going to thailand but now suddenly i see the appeal πŸ˜›

wasnt sold on the idea of a vblog either but now ive seen yours i want to do my own next time im on holiday

    • The view totally floored me when I first saw it. Simply stunning.

As for the vlog… well, hopefully we can keep it fun and entertaining enough to want to keep producing. There’s certainly lots to film! Maybe some episodes will just be scenery montages. It’s usually the conversational vlogs that I find most interesting though, so that’s how I’m focusing it at the moment. Glad you dig it. πŸ™‚

  5. Geez Louise! What a rollercoaster so far! Sounds like Asia likes to keep the challenges coming in thick but for what it’s worth I think you guys are doing a wicked job of staying fresh through it all. Fave post so far was the “Eurotrash” and “Melanoma Farms” blog haha so true! Stay smiling πŸ™‚

    • You either have very sharp or very failing eyesight, as I’ve rewatched the episode twice now and can’t see anyone with purple hair, only black and brown… at what time in the video do you see this supposed girl?
