Cute, but wily! They know who to target. I doubt any of the older tourists, or tourists in groups, would have gone off the track with them. In the end I gave he and his friends a few dollars for their trouble. 🙂
That temple looks amazing… I dont really know anything about the history of Cambodia or se asia in general really, but it looks like therr must have been some pretty serous empires there at some point long ago
Apparently during Angkorian times there could have been up to one million inhabitants just within what is now known as the Angkor Temple Complex. That’s definitely a serious empire. Some interesting info over at the Angkor Wiki.
That temple looks ridiculously awesome, also very interesting looking town. That would be a great place to take photos and I am sure thats what Amanda was doing, so can’t wait to see the photos.
Temples were amazing to explore, but cooler weather would have made it more pleasant!
Amanda’s already posted some photos, but I’m sure there’s a few others that didn’t make it on to the blog which you can see later on. 🙂
Actually I didn’t take all that many. You’ll understand when I say I was too hot to even carry a camera around. It was *stinking*. I felt slightly ill at times when we were outdoors. Thank goodness a million other people have photographed the place properly.
Haha loved your temple guide! how cute 🙂

Naw! Cambodian kids are the freaking cutest! Can’t wait to travel there!!!
That floating village is utterly surreal. Seeing that kind of place first hand must be pretty unforgettable.
It was certainly not what I’d expected. I was close to tears at times. Since then I’ve been wondering what could be done to help these people.

Do the crocs live in the water where people were washing?
No, they’re in a cage in the middle of one of the floating buildings. Future luggage!
